The C.A.R.E.S. Program (Children Are Receiving Extended Services) is a before and after school supervised program run under the guidelines of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. We are located in the Conference Center. Please enter from the side door.

The term C.A.R.E.S. means Children Are Receiving Extended Services. It is designed to allow your child a diversity of activities within a Catholic environment. Arts & Crafts, games, outdoor play, and snack time are just a few of the activities. There is time set aside for homework. It is the child’s responsibility to have his/her assignments and books. Children may not return to their homeroom for forgotten items. Only written assignments may be done at C.A.R.E.S. Parents are responsible for checking their children’s homework.
C.A.R.E.S. hours are 7 AM – 8:30 PM and 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM. Please respect our closing time and be prompt. There will be a $10 late fee for every 10 minutes that you are late after the 5:30 PM closing.
Children will be expected to respect the staff, each other, the materials, and the building. Children may never leave the building or the grounds without a parent or staff member. Any child who does not conform to these rules is liable for dismissal from the program.
Payment is due the last day of each week. Checks should be made payable to “Nativity of Our Lord C.A.R.E.S.” There is a $10 fee for delinquent payments.
The C.A.R.E.S. program is open on designated half days ONLY if the teachers are in the school building (ie – In Service days).

C.A.R.E.S. Snow Information
- If School is closed due to snow, C.A.R.E.S. is also closed.
- If School opens one hour late, C.A.R.E.S. will also open one hour late.
- If School opens two hours late, C.A.R.E.S. will also open two hours late.
If School closes early due to snow, C.A.R.E.S. will close at 3:15 PM. Please do not send your child to C.A.R.E.S. on a snow day if you can’t pick him/her up by 3:15 PM. If you do not think that you can be here by 3:15 PM in the event of bad weather, please have someone on your emergency pick up list who is willing and able to pick up by 3:15 PM.
If you hear snow in the weather forecast, please write a note to your child’s teacher and let him/her know how your child is to go home in the event of an early dismissal. Please be sure your child knows how he/she is to go home in the event of an early dismissal. Do not try to call the office during the day to tell your child how to go home.
